Château D'Yquem

It was cold and wet until September, then warm, then very dry. The harvest began quite late, and two passes brought in beautiful, rich grapes from the 4th to the 22nd of October before 50 mm of rain fell. Fruit picked during the last three passes did not reach 20° potential alcohol. This late-ripening, difficult vintage was nevertheless generous and vivacious.
