Château D'Yquem

1952

Perfect weather from March to August was ruined by a violent hail storm in July that ruined 90% of the potential crop. The hot, dry weather that had prevailed until then took a turn for the worse in mid-August due to an initial rainy period (40 mm), followed by another ever more rainy one (100 mm) followed by yet an even worse scenario: 142 mm in October and 170 mm in November. 1952 was a year defeated by rain.
