Château D'Yquem

1927

A fine, warm spring, but everything changed starting in June when chilly weather set in and stayed until December. 84 mm of rain fell in late September, giving rise to botrytis and calling for a first "tidying-up" pass to remove any berries affected by sour rot. Subsequent dry weather finally concentrated the grapes and a second pass took place in mid-October. The harvest came to an end on the 27th of that month.
