A year with an odd alternating pattern: hot then cold and dry then wet… There was a heatwave in August with one very heavy downpour, followed by a period of very clement weather... The first pass occurred in late September/early October, and there were two very fine ones between the 7th and the 20th of that month. The fact that the harvest could be so stretched out shows the immense potential of Yquem's terroir. A great success in this very classic vintage.
