Château D'Yquem
1915
Weather during the growing season was very up and down, going from hot to cold, and wet to dry. This had a disastrous effect on the grapes, especially since there was a lack of personnel to cope with the situation due to the war. Heavy showers in late September (129 mm in 9 days) destroyed all hope for a good crop, and sugar levels did not even reach 13°C alcohol by volume.
