Château D'Yquem
1922
A classic growing season until July, when conditions shifted decisively to unseasonably cool, wet weather until the end of the year. Two series of showers in early September brought on noble rot. The first pass in late September was very good. This was followed by 15 mm of rain. A large part of a plentiful crop was picked prior to the 5th of October, when sugar levels started to descend. Subsequent passes did not reach the required 20°.
