Château D'Yquem

A cool spring, a very hot and very dry hot month of July, followed by several storms in August made for a very successful first pass in late September. However, rain interrupted the harvest in mid-October. The main part of the crop was finally ready to be picked in early November and the harvest stretched out until the end of the month. Quality was great and 75% of the crop was able to be used. 1970 Yquem shows remarkable complexity.
