Château D'Yquem
1926
Warm spring weather brought on early vegetative growth, but cooler weather in May, June, and July induced a sort of stagnation. However, the weather was fine, warm, and dry from August to late October. 40 mm of rain fell on the 31st of August, but this was not sufficient to trigger noble rot. The few grapes that were picked were overripe rather than botrytised. Precipitation on the 6th of October gave a small boost to botrytis, but heavy rain (92 mm) then arrived and ruined the rest of the crop.
