Château D'Yquem
2005
The growing season was extremely dry.
This excellent weather, especially in June, led to particularly successful, homogeneous flowering, but not to the extent of presaging an excessively large crop.
The heat in early summer lessened in August, avoiding too much water stress and maintaining fresh acidity.
The 2005 harvest of Y began very early, on the 31st of August and continued on the 8th, 9th, 20th, and 30th of September.
