Château D'Yquem
1903
A year with extremely variable weather. April was very cold, May very hot, summer cold again, and drought conditions prevailed in July... The first part of harvest lasted from the 24th of September to the 8th of October, yielding a few barrels of wine with a good sugar level. However, there were showers every two or three days in October. While encouraging botrytisation, this did not concentrate the grapes. A mediocre year.
