Château D'Yquem
1934

Spring was warm and there was a major heatwave in summer (19 days over 35°C). Heavy rain on the 31st of August set botrytis going and picking began on the 7th of September. This was intense and went on totally uninterrupted - which is very rare - until the last grapes were picked on the 4th of October. This is a memorable Yquem showing remarkable finesse and purity.
